Derrick Washington

Derrick Washington during his high school career was a top 20 ranked guard in the State of Wisconsin in the class of 2008. He was coached, mentored and played AAU basketball under Devin Harris. Derrick then went on to play collegiate basketball at Minnesota State Mankato-University at the Division 2 level. He was able to win two conference championships, NCAA Regional Championship and make a Final Four appearance in 2011.

After his college career, Derrick began learning his player development skills from working with the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA. His passion, relentless work ethic, and study habits to make athletes better players, such as Maya Moore, Asia Taylor  & Lindsey Whalen, came from former assistant coach Jim Petersen who played in the NBA from 1984-1992. Derrick helped this first-class organization appear in 5 WNBA Championship series and win 3 WNBA Titles in 2011, 2013, & 2015.

Now Derrick is the Personal Skill Development coach for Anthony Tolliver of the Detroit Pistons who have been in the NBA for over 10 years.  His knowledge and experience over the years have allowed him to help assist/train other NBA/WNBA/Professional players such as Rashad Vaughn, TJ Cline, MIke Eric, Glory Johnson, Maya Moore, Lindsay Whalen, Asia Taylor, Amber Harris, Steve Novak,  and Carl Landry.
